Skin Tightening

What is Skin Tightening?

Skin tightening operations are cosmetic procedures that improve the appearance of your face and stomach without the use of surgery. These procedures are significantly less intrusive than surgical procedures such as facelifts and tummy tucks, and some patients claim they can achieve similar results. Additionally, there are fewer risks of complications, it is less expensive, and simple.

Types of Skin Tightening Treatment

Your skin is made out of proteins called elastin and collagen when you are born. Your skin’s structure and inflexibility are handled by these proteins. Your body’s product of these proteins declines as you aged. As a result, the inflexibility of your skin begins to deteriorate.

Your skin may appear stretched or Saggy as a result of graveness, pollution exposure, stress, and the hundreds of movements your facial muscles do every day. Stretch marks and sagging skin can be caused by a variety of circumstances, including gestation and weight reduction.

Non Surgical skin tightening treatments target sagging areas of the skin and encourage collagen conformation beneath the face.

The following are the two introductory styles of treatment

  • in-office procedures performed by a trained provider
  • at-home devices you can use to give yourself treatment

In-office skin tightening procedures

Radiofrequency (Thermalift, Thermage, and Exilis)

Thermalift was the first technique to apply the concept of “waking up” or replacing lost collagen (Therma lift, Thermage, and Exilis). Thermalift is a procedure that uses a device to deliver regulated radio waves to the area of your skin that needs to be tightened. The treatment can be performed with topical or no anesthesia, and there is no downtime.

One treatment session is required for thermography, but some people benefit from numerous sessions. To observe effects from other types of radiofrequency treatment, you’ll likely need many sessions. Whether you get one treatment or numerous, you’ll see a difference straight away immediately, but it’ll take 4 months for the complete effect.

Intense pulsed light/radiofrequency (Velashape)

Velashape is a gadget that proposes to reduce fat cells and target them. It works by sending infrared radiation through your skin layers to break up fat deposits using a portable device.

In addition, radiofrequency waves are employed. There is no need for anesthesia for this surgery. A series of sessions is usually recommended to achieve the best outcomes.

At-Home Devices

Ultrasound therapy

Ultrasound skin tightening stimulates collagen creation by sending ultrasound waves deep into the skin.
For the face

Thermage, Thermalift, and Exilis are popular treatments for the face. Velashape works on the face, but is more frequently recommended for larger areas of the body.

For the stomach

The stomach has a larger surface area than the face. It’s also more prone to stretch marks and sagging. While Thermage, Thermalift, and Exilis work on the face, Velashape is usually recommended for the abdomen area.
