Azifast 2 % Gel is an antibiotic used for the treatment of Acne vulgaris. It is a common bacterial skin infection that occurs due to the blockage of the hair follicles on your skin. It works by blocking the formation of proteins required for bacterial growth. Thus, it prevents further bacterial growth and multiplication. This medicine is only effective for bacterial infections, not for viral and other infections.

Azifast 2 % Gel may cause side effects like dry and red skin, burning or irritation at the application etc. Consult Your Doctor if these side effects are persistent or bothering you.

Azifast 2 % Gel is for external use only. Use it as prescribed by your doctor. Try applying the gel at the same time every day for ease of remembering. Complete the whole treatment even if you feel better to avoid antibiotic resistance (when bacteria develop resistance to the antibiotics).

Azifast 2 % Gel is not recommended if you are allergic to it. Inform your doctor about all your current medications, including all creams, herbs and supplements, before starting the treatment. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or are breastfeeding before taking this medicine.
